2006 - National Gateway
National Gateway, an urban town center incorporating 1.5 million sf of office space and over 200,000 sf of restaurants, services and retail shopping was a natural fit for christopher as it sits on the Arlington side of Potomac Yard, where we had already been working for years.
christopher provided civil engineering and survey services for the site, including drafting the complex proffer condition package and engineering expertise during citizen meetings, special project committees (transportation, open space, urban design), and city/county meetings.
National Gateway also includes One and Two Potomac Yard, which houses the EPA headquarters and earned a Gold LEED certification. christopher worked directly with the EPA on One and Two Potomac Yard to create a sustainable design, providing engineering, surveying and project coordination. Two luxury high-rise residential complexes, Camden at Potomac Yard and the Eclipse on Center Park, are also part of National Gateway. christopher provided civil site design, master planning, construction stakeout and stormwater management on both of these residential projects.
