2013 - Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School

christopher consultants provided civil engineering and surveying services to Studio 27 Architecture for the renovation and new construction of this bilingual charter school into Washington D.C.’s first “green” public charter school. Although this wasn’t our first foray into K-12 projects, it was the first to achieve LEED Gold and Platinum while the joining Annex (La Casita) has achieved USBGC LEED for Schools Platinum certification.

Mundo Verde received the AIA’s highest honor as a COTE Top Ten Award, as well as a Merit Award for Excellence in Architecture from AIA Virginia.
