Katie McDaniel is a Senior Project Manager in our Public Division and started with christopher in 2011. She was named Associate in 2019. Katie is responsible for managing a team of engineers to design, complete and submit engineering drawings, prepare construction plans and design SWM/BMP and associated specifications. Katie works closely with our public clients including Fairfax County, Prince William County Service Authority, George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College. She is also an expert in Plan Review and is certified for Stormwater Management Plan Review and as a Stormwater Management Inspector.
Katie is a mentor for Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University’s LDDI program, giving back to her alma mater by mentoring student groups through a comprehensive design course and traveling to Blacksburg each semester to watch the students present their final project. Katie is also a committee member of the SAME Northern Virginia Post K-12 and Higher Education Committees and an active member of the Fairfax County Trails and Sidewalks Committee, for which she was appointed Representative from the Clifton Horse Society in 2018. Katie received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech. Her hobbies include taking care of and riding her horse and spending time with her husband and daughter.
