U.S. Consulate – Surabaya, Indonesia

International

christopher provided construction administration services to Sorg Architects (now DLR Group) for the U.S. Consulate in Surabaya, Indonesia. The facility is located on a six acre site, totaling 59,500 square feet across six buildings. The Consulate meets LEED Silver standards, with sustainable design elements including native plant species for landscaping to reduce water consumption; light shelves to allow daylight into 75 percent of the buildings’ interior; and an intricate stormwater management system designed to address flooding concerns in the region.

christopher’s services included review and approval of all required submittals and response to RFI’s. Additionally, significant redesign of various facilities was required as construction progressed. christopher was retained to provide this redesign in coordination with the construction administration services.
