christopher consultants provided surveying services to Clark Construction and E.C. Korneffel Co. for Phase 1 of The Wharf. Project tasks included the establishment of project wide horizontal and vertical control, temporary and permanent infrastructure stakeouts and precise layout of all garage, building and structural support controls for construction purposes. Additionally, christopher consultants prepared as-builts and as-constructed documents to support the mission of our clients. In conjunction with the Phase 1 stakeout services, christopher provided stakeout and as-built services for the installation of all support piles and bulkhead support structures.
The Wharf, a design/build project located on the Southwest Waterfront in DC, is a planned mixed-use development that will include a Class-A office building, a yacht club, a hotel, two parks, a parking garage and two residential buildings. One of the residential buildings, a 501-unit apartment building, will include a music hall on the first five levels. The second residential building will include 147 apartments and 134 condos and will feature a rooftop amenity space with an infinity pool and private terraces. The parking garage will be 700,000 square feet, with two below-grade levels and will supply 2,500 parking spaces to the community.
