Mount Vernon Estate

christopher provided civil engineering, surveying and landscape architecture services to the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association for multiple projects on the Mount Vernon Estate. The Mount Vernon Estate is the former home and resting place of President George Washington. The campus has been designated a National Historic Landmark and has been documented by the National Park Service’s Historic American Buildings Survey. christopher has completed projects including the following: parking lot expansion, equipment storage/maintenance facility, surveying for the Mount Vernon Estate’s new library and onsite roads, planning and construction documents for drainage and slope stability improvements, ADA and accessibility improvements, new private staff housing, as well as the completion of various other on-site projects. christopher provided plans and permitting services for the reconstruction of the historic wall at the Mount Vernon Estate and has also analyzed the existing stormwater management facilities on-site and performed modifications as necessary in accordance with county and state requirements.
