christopher consultants provided engineering, surveying, utility mapping, landscape architecture, stormwater management and construction administration for a new pre-kindergarten and elementary school on the Benning Road Campus. The 55,000 square-foot school features classrooms, a 7,000 SF gymnasium, locker rooms, a large cafeteria and a rubber-surfaced courtyard play area.
Founded in 2007, LEAP Academy includes approximately 200 students in PreK3 and PreK4. In 2019, the school was ranked a Tier 1 school by the DC Public Charter School Board. KIPP is a national network of 48 public charter schools focused on preparing students in underserved communities for college.
