christopher consultants provided civil engineering, surveying and stormwater management design services to at Innovation, an approximately 100-acre data center site in Prince William County, Virginia. There is also a proposed substation adjacent to the site.
Because the site is encroached upon by floodplain, christopher worked closely with the client and Prince William County on a floodplain analysis and water quality impact assessment. The christopher team was able to modify the limits of the existing floodplain in order to maximize the available usable square footage of the site and provide sufficient room for building footprints compatible with a data center use.
christopher has assisted the client connecting the site to the power grid through NOVEC and worked closely with the Prince William County Economic Development Authority to promote the development of the site. Work included site plan approval for an additional building and working on a rezoning for a portion of the site.
