christopher provided civil engineering, surveying and construction administration services for the renovation and new addition of the Fenwick Library. In addition to conceptual, preliminary and final design for the building and addition, christopher designed new high-temperature hot waterlines, new chilled waterlines, new telecommunication ductbanks, new fire lines and new power lines, as well as sanitary and storm lines.
Additional work included design of alternate road and pedestrian accessways to the building. A particular challenge included maintaining operations of the exis ting building and utility service during construction of the addition. christopher extensively researched existing records, verified current operations and provided multiple constructible scenarios for the design team to evaluate. The project was designed to LEED Silver.
