Gainesville High School

Prince William County, VA

christopher, contracted as Ross-France, provided land surveying, civil engineering and site planning services from initial conceptual plans through final detailed civil/site construction plans and consultation during the ongoing construction of a 334,885 sf high school. Included in the design is a storm sewer system design, stormwater management and best management practices design, water and sewer utility design, water system modeling to provide fire flows for building protection and athletic fields design. Engineering consultation, design and coordination with the owner, and project architect has been provided throughout the project.

This site is located adjacent to the Jiffy Lube Live Amphitheater and existing Gainesville Middle School. Special design considerations included ensuring proper safety measures were provided with the proximity to the amphitheater as well as providing safe pedestrian access from the middle school and Wentworth Green Neighborhood.

Project completion is on track for the Summer of 2021.
