FBI Field Office

Chesapeake, VA

christopher provided civil engineering and surveying services for this FBI Field Office building located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Project tasks included site planning, ALTA and land title surveys, topography surveys, sanitary sewer design and construction administration services. Working for general contractor The Walsh Group and architect Lohan Anderson, christopher also served as local liaison between team members and the client.

The building serves as the Regional Headquarters for the FBI in the Tidewater, Virginia area. The project consisted of new construction of over 131,000 square feet of office space, secure structured parking and a visitor screening facility. The office was completed using state-of-the-art building system technologies and environmentally sound design methods. Construction on the FBI Field Office was completed in November of 2013.

Facts & Results

christopher earned the team four LEED certification points for the project, in the categories of Stormwater Design – Quality Control; Stormwater Design – Quantity Control; and Regional Priority points in the same two stormwater categories.
