christopher consultants worked as the lead civil and infrastructure designer providing engineering, surveying and land planning services for the Ashburn Technology Park for St. John Properties. The Ashburn Technology Park is a 50-acre business community located in Ashburn, Virginia, near the Washington Dulles International Airport. The park consists of eight individual office buildings comprising more than 437,000 square feet.
christopher worked on all phases of the project from initial site design to construction administration services. christopher’s team created a flexible design for the future users of the buildings, as they were unknown at the time of design and construction. christopher also provided a parking and travel-way design that provided the ability to modify the orientation and size of space for various users.Services also included utility coordination, construction site planning and stormwater management and best management practices. Surveying efforts included ALTA and land title surveys, as-built surveys and boundary surveys. christopher and real estate firm St. John Properties were awarded 2013 “Best Building” designation in the R&D/Flex/Industrial category by NAIOP Northern Virginia
