christopher was retained by the Ad Fontes Academy (AFA) for the expansion of the school’s enrollment potential. AFA is a non-profit, Christian private school of general education. AFA is located on the property of the existing Centreville Presbyterian Church, on the north side of Lee Highway. Ad Fontes Academy previously had a maximum enrollment of 150 students; christopher worked to amend the current approval to increase enrollment potential to 300 through the addition of a temporary modular unit of approximately 9,800 square feet located toward the rear of the property.
christopher provided preliminary conceptual design and land planning services for locating the modular unit on site. christopher prepared the Special Permit Amendment Plant and represented the academy as an agent through the entire SPA process and approval at the Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals. christopher prepared the final site plan for construction approval which included detailed engineering, landscape and arborist services. christopher also performed construction coordination services for Ad Fontes Academy, working directly with the modular unit company.
