Huge congratulations to our incredible team of surveyors for placing in three (of five!) categories at the 74th annual Virginia Association of Surveyors Convention and General Membership Meeting held in Virginia Beach last month.
Overall, 40 entries were submitted for review over five categories:
- ALTA/NSPS Survey Maps
- Miscellaneous Plats
- Subdivision Plats
- Boundary/Cadastral Maps
- Topographic Maps
christopher’s surveying team won 1st place for our Topographic Map submission – created for the Fairfax County Government Center. This survey was quality controlled and signed by Chris Hobbs, processed and drafted by Matt Smith and the field work was completed by Conor Furey and Connor Patrick.
We won 2nd place for our ALTA/NSPS Survey Map submission – created for Sunrise Assisted Living. This survey was quality controlled and signed by William Bradford, processed and drafted by Rich Cebrick and Pearson Beck and the field work was completed by Carlos Chinchilla and Zach Hickerson.
christopher’s surveyors won 1st place for our Subdivision Plat submission – created for Carr Homes for an 11 lot subdivision in Loudoun County called Poplar Hill. This survey was quality controlled and signed by Tom Venetsanos and drafted by David Smore.
The 1st place win automatically moves on to the next level of competition by being submitted to the NSPS (National Society of Professional Surveyors) national plat contest to compete nationally in the same categories listed above.
We are eager to repeat our 2016 national win!
