christopher consultants. ltd., is pleased to announce that John Helms, PE, has been promoted to Group Leader, Urban Land Division. John has been with christopher since 2011, rising quickly to Project Manager, then Senior Project Manager and was promoted to Associate in 2019.
For the last two years, John has been responsible for coordinating with clients to ensure their satisfaction with christopher’s contribution to projects. In his new role as Group Leader, John will continue to deepen existing client relationships and seek out new clients, help promote and grow the company, meet the company’s financial goals and provide support to the Urban Division and leaders of the company.
John has an extensive background in the design and construction of civil engineering infrastructure and land planning in Virginia. He manages a portfolio of complex projects to include the INOVA Center for Personalized Health in Fairfax, VA, and Potomac Yard in Alexandria, VA.
John is active on the Arlington Government Relations Committee for NAIOP Northern Virginia. He obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He enjoys spending his free time with his family and playing baseball for the Northern Virginia Navigators in the DCWood League.
