christopher’s survey division continues to expand our drone fleet with the addition of our third unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) certified pilot!
Connor Patrick recently passed his FAA 107 exam making him a UAV certified pilot. Connor joins Matt Smith and Carlos Chinchilla as the third in-house certified pilot on our survey division.
As a certified pilot, Connor will have access to certain controlled air spaces which amateur pilots are unable to fly.

As much of the Washington Metropolitan region is in restricted zones, this opens up access to many local sites to the benefits of drone services.
Since 2016, our FAA part 107 certified pilots have conducted over 200 successful flights at sites all over our region. With his new certification and some additional flight training hours Connor will join our drone pilots in providing services such as construction progress imagery, stockpile volume checks, 3D models and point clouds to support topographic mapping, presentation grade videography and entitlement support.
