Prince William County Economic Development Authority recently announced a name for the planned wet lab facility at innovation – the Northern Virginia Bioscience Center.
The site, owned by Holladay Property Services, includes 4.4 acres on which Holladay plans to develop a 30,000-square-foot lab and office space.
The project at 9370 Discovery Blvd., conceived as a hub for early-stage life sciences and biotech companies, is scheduled to be complete in November 2021. Holladay is expected to close on its purchase from the county in September.

The Science Center has been lauded as an asset to the region as a hub for life sciences and biotech companies, a stepping stone to growing the science and tech industry in Prince William County. As such the project has earned public funding including initial approval from the Northern Virginia Regional Council for a $500,000 GO Virginia grant (scheduled for final approval in September), $350,000 from the county Economic Development Opportunity Fund, and $250,000 in water and sewer credits that county supervisors approved in May for the project.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting addition to Prince William County!
