christopher consultants is pleased to announce the promotion of Christopher (Chris) Fillmore, LS as the new Vice President of the Survey Division.
Chris has been with christopher consultants since 2005, holding various surveying positions in our Fredericksburg, Prince William and most recently our Maryland locations. He was promoted to Senior Associate in 2012 and became a Principal of the firm in 2016.
Chris brings over twenty-four years of extensive experience in land surveying and surveying technologies and holds professional licensing in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. In this new role as Vice President, Chris will have strategic involvement in overseeing the operation and growth of the Survey Division by working with each of christopher’s office locations supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives and expanding our relationships with new and existing clients.
“Chris is a tireless worker that has a great passion for his profession of land surveying. I’m honored to have him succeed me in this role,” says Jeff Smith, LS, Senior Vice President of Operations. “He will undoubtedly add energy and elevate christopher’s Surveying Division to greater heights.”
Chris is known for his clear and concise communication skills, his innovative approach to survey and his passion for everything that he does. He is a leader in his field both at christopher and in the industry, evidenced by his experience as a teacher at both George Mason University and the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education Land Surveying Apprenticeship Program. Chris is also past Vice President of the Mount Vernon Chapter of the Virginia Association of Surveyors.

Chris is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Technology with an emphasis in Site Survey and Design. Chris enjoys his time away from work with his wife, daughter and son.
