christopher consultants, ltd. (christopher) is very pleased to announce the promotion of Matt Smith, UAS Operations Manager, to Surveyor ll. Matt is part of our Virginia Survey Division and is based out of our Prince William office. He started with christopher in 2012 as an intern and graduated from West Virginia University in 2014, thereafter beginning his full-time career with us.
In addition to proving himself to be a valuable member of the survey team, Matt is the pilot of christopher’s drone, the Inspire 1 Pro. He is a licensed FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot, which allows him to operate the drone for commercial use. Passionate and knowledgeable about our range of drone services, Matt stays on top of the latest information as technology for drones continues to develop. He also conducts presentations on the drone services to local jurisdictions with whom christopher works.
